Female Tabaxi

_Commander _ of_ The Light Keepers of Remketh_

Lawful Good

## Overview

**Embers Beneath the Moon**, known simply as Ember, is the respected Commander of
Remketh’s Light Keepers. A former adventurer, she has dedicated herself to protecting
the city and its people, earning a reputation for unwavering integrity, sound judgment,
and quiet authority. Though disciplined and occasionally stern, Ember possesses
a dry sense of humor and a genuine compassion for those under her protection. She
believes the greatest duty of the Light Keepers is to ensure that, no matter how
far Remketh’s people wander, they always have a safe home to return to.

## Appearance

Ember is a striking female Tabaxi with nearly black, charcoal-colored fur and piercing
amber eyes that appear almost molten gold beneath Remketh’s lanternlight. Thin streaks
of burnt orange extend from the outer corners of her eyes toward her temples, while
subtle reddish-copper highlights mark the tips of her ears. Two or three irregular
rust-red bands encircle the end of her otherwise dark tail.

These markings are entirely natural, understated in daylight but remarkably vivid
in warm firelight. Combined with her commanding presence, they give Ember an unmistakable
appearance without seeming unnatural or ostentatious.

She wears the distinctive midnight-blue uniform of the Light Keepers, reinforced
with practical dark armor and accented by polished brass and gold. Her command insignia
bears the Keepers’ emblem: a flame sheltered between two upward-curving claws.

## Personality

Ember is disciplined, perceptive, and quietly authoritative. She rarely raises her
voice, preferring measured words and an unwavering gaze to establish control. She
possesses a dry sense of humor, though it generally surfaces only when circumstances
warrant it.

She is fair-minded and expects professionalism from those under her command. While
fiercely protective of her Keepers, she does not excuse misconduct or incompetence.
She believes that authority must be earned through service and maintained through
integrity.

Ember respects capable adventurers but does not automatically trust them. She recognizes
their potential to accomplish extraordinary things, as well as their remarkable
talent for creating problems that others must clean up.

Above all, she values the safety and welfare of Remketh’s citizens.
