Culture & Society
The Tabaxi are one of the primal races created when the world was new as a representative of one of the pillars of creation, that of the predator. As such, they have a deeply ingrained racial affinity to hunt and stalk their prey.
For the most part the Tabaxi are a far ranging & free-spirited people. As such, they may be found in virtually every corner of the realm. Despite their wandering nature though, they do have a homeland deep in the steaming Shinraja Jungle. Their capital city of Remketh is ruled by a council of elders who have roamed the world and returned home to enjoy their twilight years. Tabaxi come in all shapes and representations of the felines in in our own world (lions, panthers, cheetah, etc.). The personalities of the race vary as greatly as their diverse background, but they do share are some common characteristics; they tend to be very proud and fiercely independent.
Racial Traits
- Darkvision – Your darkvision has a radius of 60 feet.
- Feline Agility – Your reflexes and agility allow you to move with a burst of speed. When you move on your tum in combat, you can double your speed until the end of the tum. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you move 0 feet on one of your turns.
- Cat’s Claws – Because of your claws, you have a climbing speed of 20 feet. In addition, your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
